Email Campaigns
During my time at Build, I realized one of our largest obstacles hindering our productivity was email campaigns. There was no flow, meaning campaign deliverables would travel back and forth between team members for days, reaching the final destination days late with inconsistent graphic elements.
To fix this, I initiated a project to develop standard templates for each type of email with embedded information to specify where the template could be directed. I took charge of fixing the organizational workflow, creating a communication pipeline that only went one direction. Once a member of the creative team reviewed a template it passed to the next dedicated desk without resurfacing. Additionally, I created a company-specific style guide that allowed us to keep all emails on brand.
The result was a well-oiled team where accountability was clearly established. Individual employee stress levels went down dramatically, as did time spent on revisions.
