See a need, fill a need
In Spring of 2020, Kristy Cowell noticed that stores were running out of toys and parents were running out of energy. In the midst of a global pandemic she was forced to close the doors of Sunny Garden, her indoor play space, and was desperately looking for help to keep the business afloat.
After consulting with her on market opportunities, creative direction, and brand strategy, a new-to-the-market idea that leveraged her extensive background was formed: Bloom Box is a local subscription-based toy rental service that is custom curated based on each child’s interests and developmental milestones.
We built BloomBox around three concepts: engagement, education, and convenience. I touched almost every aspect of this launch, from overarching brand strategy to copywriting to social media.
These efforts added no additional overhead costs, utilized existing assets, and allowed the business to continue serving the community during a pandemic, a time when many similar companies were closing their doors permanently.
The Bloom Box logo matches its parent company “Sunny Garden” and enabled kids to continue to play during stay-at-home orders.
Each Bloom Box delivery was sent out with a coloring sheet for extra fun at home.
