FROM FRICTION TO FLOW
THE CHALLENGE & THE STRATEGY
Recognizing opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce production bottlenecks, I proactively initiated a migration to a new project management platform, Adobe Workfront. Through self-directed learning, I developed expertise in the software and became the marketing department administrator, taking ownership of its implementation and adapting it to better support our team’s needs. I redesigned workflows to eliminate the 1:1 dependency between planned hours and project duration, allowing for more float within the workflow and a significant decrease in project delays.
THE RESULTS & LASTING IMPACT
I also spearheaded restructuring service-level agreements around more attainable timelines, setting realistic expectations while creating opportunities to under promise and over deliver. The result was a more agile production process in which projects were completed, on average, in less time than our previous SLAs projected. Beyond improved turnaround times and fewer project delays, the streamlined system delivered additional departmental benefits, including a higher rate of creative concepts approved on first presentation. By combining initiative, process design, and continuous improvement, I created a more efficient workflow that empowered the team to produce stronger work with greater consistency.
